Overview
This standard is about implementing and evaluating an HR strategy. It covers identifying people-centric Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), any possible obstacles for strategy implementation, planning and obtaining resources for it. It also includes gaining the commitment from employees and other stakeholders and evaluating the strategy against agreed performance goals and success criteria.
This standard is for HR professionals who are involved in the implementation and evaluation of HR strategy.
Performance criteria
You must be able to:
- define organisational people-centric KPIs and drivers for measuring success
- identify any possible obstacles to implementation of an HR strategy
- assess the risks and elaborate methods of their mitigation
- develop a plan for implementation of HR strategy
- identify the key stakeholders in the implementation process and gain their commitment
- delegate activities to appropriate employees across different departments
- identify the timescales and success criteria against which the strategy will be evaluated
- monitor continued compliance with legal requirements, codes of practice and organisation procedures
- collect valid and comprehensive data, including feedback from stakeholders
- evaluate the strategy against the agreed measures and success criteria
- carry out continuous monitoring of HR strategy by collating feedback and recommendations for improvement or maintenance
