URN: COSVR183
Business Sectors (Suites): Rainscreen façade systems
Developed by: CITB
Approved: 2024

Overview

This standard is about inspecting a previously installed backing wall for its suitability to install a bespoke designed rainscreen façade system.

This standard will involve reviewing and recording the backing wall regarding the structure’s location from grid line and datum to establish the line, level, size, and position of all protrusions, penetrations, apertures and reveals in accordance with the rainscreen façade system design by measuring and checking the alignment and marking out the position of components required to attach the rainscreen façade system.

This standard will also involve interpreting information, adopting safe, healthy and environmentally responsible work practices, selecting and using materials, components, tools and equipment, minimising damage, and working within the allocated time, in accordance with organisational requirements which are equal to or exceed current statutory and legislative requirements

This standard is for people working in the occupational area of rainscreen façade systems and can be used by operatives, supervisors and managers
