Control contract work
Overview
This standard is about ensuring work is compliant with quality and contractual requirements and that stakeholders are compliant with their obligations in accordance with current organisational requirements which are equal to or exceed current statutory and legislative requirements.
This standard is for people working in the occupational area of construction contracting operations management and can be used by operatives, supervisors and managers
Performance criteria
You must be able to:
Control contract work against quality standards and guidance P1 identify any specifications that conflict with statutory and contractual requirements and refer them to decision makers for modification P2 agree amendments to the contract quality requirements and record them accurately P3 confirm the specified quality standards and guidance for the contract work P4 allocate responsibilities for ensuring the quality of work meets contract requirements P5 ensure quality requirements are communicated to those carrying out the work before commencement P6 establish a quality control system for the work P7 implement the quality control system and maintain records P8 identify work which does not conform to quality requirements and record it P9 investigate non-conformities to establish root causes and identify actions to prevent reoccurrence
P10 resolve non-conformities with those responsible for quality standards in a manner that promotes goodwill and trust
Maintain contract and statutory compliance
P11 identify statutory and contractual requirements from available information and clarify any ambiguities
P12 ensure relevant stakeholders are aware of their statutory and contractual obligations P13 implement and maintain contract monitoring and recording systems P14 identify any non-compliance with statutory, organisational or contractual requirements P15 nvestigate and resolve any non-compliance in a manner that promotes goodwill and trust
